The Tampa FBITCAAA Receives FBINCAAA’s Highest National Honor

The Tampa FBITCAAA has been named the recipient of the Jerry Fogel Advocacy Award, the highest honor presented by the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Citizens Academy Alumni Association (FBINCAAA). Awarded to only one chapter nationwide, the recognition highlights exceptional achievement in leadership, community engagement, and organizational excellence.

The award reflects The Tampa FBITCAAA’s ongoing commitment to strengthening relationships between the community and law enforcement, advancing educational outreach, and supporting public safety initiatives throughout the region.

Receiving the Jerry Fogel Advocacy Award places The Tampa FBITCAAA among the most distinguished chapters in the country and underscores the impact of its work to inform, engage, and serve the community. The recognition affirms the chapter’s dedication to fostering meaningful partnerships and promoting programs that benefit the public.

“This recognition is a tremendous honor for The Tampa FBITCAAA and a reflection of the dedication shown by our Board and members,” said Jacques Hakim, Immediate Past President. “It speaks to the strength of our mission and the meaningful work being done to support community engagement, education, and public safety throughout our region.”

The chapter also expressed sincere appreciation for its partnership with Community Outreach Specialist Betsy Conley, whose collaboration, support, and shared commitment to community engagement have played an important role in advancing outreach efforts and strengthening relationships throughout the region.

The award also reflects the strong leadership and collaborative spirit that continue to drive The Tampa FBITCAAA’s mission forward. Through its efforts, the organization has helped build stronger community connections while supporting initiatives that encourage awareness, education, and public trust.
