Brian Kraus Memorial

We at the FBI Tampa Citizens Academy are deeply saddened to lose one of our alumni, a Board member, leader, and most important of all, a friend.  Brian will be missed, but not forgotten.

A message from Brian's family:

It is with a heavy, heavy heart that we share our beloved Daddy, Husband, and Buddy went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 19th at 3:57 pm. He waited until we were all together as a family, listened to our passionate “I love you’s” and passed away peacefully. We shared with each other that at exactly 3:57pm our favorite Daddy met the Lord. We are more sure about this than anything else; the Lord greeted our Daddy/Sweet Husband with “Well done my good and faithful servant”. Our hearts are broken but we rejoice in the fact that he is dancing in Heaven breathing full breaths.

Brian was passionate about God, family, work and community service.  He was most passionate about the human trafficking work with the FBI Citizens Academy.  In lieu of flowers, we are honored to ask friends and family to donate to this noble cause in Brian's memory.

From FBI Tampa:

Brian Kraus joined the FBI Citizens Academy in 2012 and served as a board member for the Tampa FBI Citizen Academy Alumni Association representing the Orlando classes.  Brian and other Citizens Academy alumni provided much needed support to the FBI and the community following the 2016 Pulse night club terror attack.  Brian was selfless in his work with the FBI and other law enforcement agencies to promote awareness on human trafficking, civil rights, active shooter preparedness, and other issues.  Brian worked as a financial advisor and he was highly involved in his church and his family, but he always made time to strengthen our office's relationship with the community through the Citizens Academy.  Many outreach events over the past 9 years were a direct result of Brian's passion and initiative.

Brian is survived by his wife Sally and their five children, ages 14-27.

Brian's thoughtfulness and dedication to the FBI Tampa Division and FBI TCAAA mission will be greatly missed.

From Jeff Iseler:

It is with a heavy heart that I send this correspondence.  The FBI Tampa Citizens Academy Alumni Association family has lost one of its own.  Board member, Brian Kraus, who helped to guide our efforts in Orlando to promote a safer community, passed away Thursday, August 19.  Brian’s authenticity and generosity inspired us all to be better. As we offer our well wishes, prayers and condolences, we will hold the Kraus family close to our hearts. Brian may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
