2020 Police Unity Tour – BBQ Lunch

FBITCAAA was proud to promote the BBQ fundraiser lunch in beautiful downtown Plant City on Saturday, January 25, 2020. The Wooden Spoon was one of the sponsors and provided a tasty rib and chicken BBQ lunch. Detective Sanchez will be participating in the 250 mile bike ride, and has been training intensely for the past few months. In the photos, the the 'thin blue line' flag is claimed to be the largest of it's kind ever made. The flag represents law enforcement and is flown to show support for the men and women who put their lives on the line every day to protect us.

We wish Detective Sanchez well, and look forward to hearing all his ride upon his return.

This year Plant City Police Department, Detective Erick Sanchez will be participating in the 2020 Police Unity Tour, from Sunday May 10th to Thursday May 14th, 2020. This is a 250 mile bicycle ride from Portsmouth, Virginia to the Law Enforcement Officer's Memorial in Washington, DC.

The primary purpose of the Police Unity Tour is to raise awareness for the Law Enforcement Officers who have died in the line of duty. The secondary purpose is to raise funds for the National Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial and Museum. Every year each member is required to raise $2,000.00. This year Detective Sanchez will be riding in the memory of FBI Special Agent Robert R. Hardesty, End Of Watch: June 2, 2005. For more information on Special Agent Robert R.
